FOUR CORNERS AIR RACE

On 1^st July 2004, Aviation fuel suppliers in Malaysia announced an unprecedented 100% increase in the price of AVGAS 100LL.  Further, we were informed that continued supplies were uncertain.

While digesting this piece of unwelcome news, the Organising Committee sat to discuss the implications of the above announcement and its effects on organising the Air Race, which required fuel stores to be positioned at critical points en-route.

In view of the prohibitive cost of fuel supply, the Organising Committee has taken a decision to POSTPONE the Four Corners Air Race to a future date, when the fuel supply situation has been resolved.
